Nude Beach Sydney

LadyBayBeach.com is an information resource for people interested in Sydney’s nude beach – Lady Bay Beach, often referred to as Lady Jane Beach. The beach is located in Watsons Bay (Postcode 2030). part of the eastern suburbs of Sydney.

Lady Bay Beach was opened to the public and legal nudity status was declared on December 20, 1976. Nudists have been visiting the beach for over 40 years.

There is a nice walking track past the beach called the South Head Heritage Trail which leads to Hornby Lighthouse, one of the first lighthouses in Sydney built in 1856 and still operational today.

The Navy Base HMAS Watson is on the adjacent property and you will often notice Navy Ships sailing down Sydney Harbour or a Military Helicopter landing on the HMAS Watson Helipad, often to the surprise of beach goers.

You will find many war relics and bunkers built into the cliff, which were constructed during WW1 and WW2.

During whale watching season you may spot whales or dolphins swimming past the coastline. There are also hidden tracks to follow down near the beach, rock pools to soak in and lots of secluded spots for those looking for a little privacy.
